Feature

Find the work context you saw, decided, or forgot.

AI work memory is not a hidden profile of you. It is a local history of the work surfaces you have actively used, scoped to a window you control, so the agent can recover real context instead of asking you to remember.

Primary workflow

Remember what I forgot

Corivo helps recover the specific thing you agreed to yesterday, even when all you remember is the rough scene.

The problem

Why AI work memory

Most of what you forget is something you already saw. The deciding sentence in a Slack thread, the spec line that got changed, the name your colleague used in a call. Without AI work memory, recovering those moments costs minutes per query.

Search inside individual apps is shallow. Each app indexes its own content. Cross-app recall ('what did we say about the deadline yesterday?') falls back to manually trawling Slack, mail, docs, and tickets one at a time.

Generic AI chat tools have no work history. They only remember what you typed inside their product. They cannot retrieve the sentence you read at 2 PM yesterday in a different app, because they were never there.

Cloud-indexed enterprise search products centralize organizational data but rarely match individual recall. AI work memory needs to be personal, local, and instantly available, not a corporate index you have to learn the search syntax for.

What it does

The useful parts, not another chat surface.

01

Searches what you have seen

The ticket from yesterday, the paragraph from the spec, or the thread you skimmed can be found again from local history.

02

Grounds status updates

Standups, weekly reports, and project updates can start from actual activity instead of a cold recollection exercise.

03

Keeps memory local

Capture history lives on your computer with retention and deletion controls rather than in a cloud profile.

How it works

What memory means in Corivo

Corivo stores local capture rows and conversations, then searches them when an agent task needs recent work context.

  1. 01Capture history is retained locally and rolls off after the configured retention window.
  2. 02The agent can cite recent context instead of relying on your summary.
  3. 03Private or excluded apps do not enter the searchable history.

Capture flows from operating system accessibility APIs into a local SQLite database on your computer. Each entry is structured text plus the app name, window title, and timestamp. AI work memory is the queryable view over this store.

Retention is bounded. Capture history rolls off on a window you configure (the default is a few weeks). Older entries are purged automatically, so the local store stays a recent-work memory, not a permanent record.

When you ask the agent to recall something, it queries this local store first. Embeddings and semantic search are computed locally where possible; nothing about the contents of recalled items is sent to Corivo servers.

The same local store powers cross-app search. A query like 'the doc about pricing changes' finds matches across Notion, Slack, mail, and tickets you actually opened, not the entire org. AI work memory is yours, not your company's.

Typical workflows

Where this shows up in real work.

01

Recovering a decision from a thread

Yesterday a teammate agreed to a deadline. You forgot the exact wording. Ask the agent: it surfaces the Slack message and the surrounding context from AI work memory, ready to quote back in your reply.

02

Finding the doc you opened last week

You remember reading a pricing note but cannot remember the URL or even which app. The agent searches AI work memory across surfaces and surfaces the document, with the snippet you actually read highlighted.

03

Writing a weekly summary

Ask the agent for a week-in-review. It pulls from work memory across apps and assembles tickets closed, threads resolved, docs shipped, and decisions made — grounded in what actually happened, not a vague guess.

04

Answering 'what did I commit to?'

Email reply due. You vaguely remember promising something. AI work memory pulls the original promise and today's status side by side, so the reply is honest and specific.

05

Re-reading a deleted message

Someone deleted a Slack message you needed. If you saw it before deletion, AI work memory can still surface the captured text from your local store — Slack's server-side deletion does not affect your local recall.

How it differs

How AI work memory differs from chatbot memory

Chatbot memory remembers what you typed inside one chat product. AI work memory remembers what you actually worked with — across apps, regardless of whether you ever chatted with an AI about it.

Enterprise search indexes an organization. AI work memory indexes you — only the surfaces you actually saw, with full personal control over retention. The trade-off is intentional: less coverage, far more relevance.

Cloud-indexed personal memory tools store content on remote servers. Corivo's AI work memory stays in a local SQLite database on your machine. The trade-offs between cloud and local are explicit, and you make them.

ChatGPT / Claude memory

Remembers your prior chats. Cannot recall the doc you opened or the ticket you closed. AI work memory does, across every app.

Rewind.ai / Mem

Personal recall tools that ship capture to remote servers. Corivo's AI work memory stays local. You can inspect the SQLite file directly.

Enterprise search (Glean)

Indexes organizational data centrally. AI work memory is yours, personal, time-bounded, and entirely on your computer.

FAQ

Common questions.

What is AI work memory?

AI work memory is a local, time-bounded history of the work surfaces you actively used — documents, threads, tickets, messages — captured through operating system accessibility APIs. The agent uses it to recall, summarize, and ground answers in real context.

Where is my AI work memory stored?

On your computer, in a local SQLite database at a documented path. It is inspectable, exportable, and deletable. Nothing about the captured contents is sent to Corivo servers.

How long does Corivo retain work memory?

Retention is bounded and configurable. The default rolling window is a few weeks; you can shorten it, extend it, or exclude specific apps entirely. Old entries are purged automatically on the schedule you set.

Can I erase parts of my AI work memory?

Yes. You can erase a time range, an app's capture, or wipe the entire store. Pause and erase are first-class controls, not buried settings. The change is reflected immediately in the local SQLite database.

Does AI work memory work across Mac and Windows?

Yes. The capture pipeline uses each platform's accessibility API (macOS Accessibility on Mac, UI Automation on Windows). The local SQLite store has the same shape on both. If you switch machines, history does not sync by default — that is a privacy choice.

Does the AI model see my whole work memory?

No. When you ask the agent something, it retrieves the matching snippets from local memory and only those snippets become part of the prompt. The model never sees the full store, and you can inspect what was sent.

Can I use AI work memory without giving accessibility permission?

No. Accessibility permission is what gives Corivo access to the structured text in your active windows. Without it, there is nothing to capture, and AI work memory has nothing to index.
